"I have known Krishna Kumar for over 15 years during which he has been my immediate boss/supervisor, an informal mentor

/guide and a good friend. Our association began in late 1992 when I was transfered in from Europe to his team in Coats Viyella,

Middle East. We worked togeather in a start up business for 2 years before I moved on to another assignment with Coats and

then pursued a career in Consumer Marketing and subsequently Financial Services. Krishna Kumar has exceptional commercial

acumen combined with an excellent read of people and situations. Thanks to his networking skills he forges deep, lifelong

relationships that outlive professional interactions. My greatest learning from working with Krishna Kumar has been in terms

of negotiation skills. I learnt various nuances of sizing up people and situations from Krishna Kumar which is vital to any marketing

pitch or negotiation. Krishna Kumar also taught me few basic aspects of managing and motivating people which has stood me

in good stead through my career. I firmly believe that Krishna Kumar's soft management skills and unquestioned professional

and personal integrity make him an excellent executive coach and consultant."

Firstly I wish to thank you for helping me take that first step.

I recall our first correspondence which I had initiated so that we could get a coach/trainer for 3M'ers in Canada.Somehow,

the conversations transcended into you helping me out with some of the issues that I was grappling with myself.

I knew 2 basic approaches to coaching, something that I learnt while I coached the U10 Boys to a gold medal in the Calgary

Soccer City Finals. a) Teach the traditional way by the correct way to kick a ball, dribble etc. and b) use the strength of

each player and help them draw from within and do their very best at what they do best and with time, you see the kids

develop into really good players. Now, thanks to you, I know an even better way. It was so very intuitive of you to be able

to zoom in and address the issues which were like hurdles in my way of getting to where I wanted to go and getting them out

of the way first.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the way you were able to coach me on Skype, across 12,000 kms

and a time difference of around 12 hours. Kudos to you KK.

Thanks to you, a new chapter in my life has just begun...

Sucess Stories at ISEC

High Performance Manager on the fast track coached in lieu of Succession planning at a IT Fortune 100 Company

ISEC was approached by the Indian arm of a Fortune 100 company, which is amongst the world’s largest enterprise solutions

company. We had to work directly with the Head of the Services domain, who was among a small group of senior professionals

in the organization that were identified as High performers and being groomed to take on much higher responsibilities and

global assignments. The client was an expert within his technical domain for which he was highly valued in the organization.

However, in order to scale up for the roles that he was being considered for, he needed to work on his people management skills

and interpersonal abilities to help him navigate through the difficult arena of international business. ISEC designed the

intervention to help the client take on a more competent ownership of all people interactions within his purview. Three months

into this assignment, he was moved into a global role. Again, the intervention was re-designed, in the context of the new

role and environment. The client satisfaction levels on the impact created was very high. On the completion of this assignment,

he said of his coaching experience with Krishna Kumar that –“I learnt how to ‘carry people with me’, a key requirement in my

current assignment where I have to influence without authority. However, the best part of the sessions with you was your

approach of role playing during every session and asking all tough questions, making me think and react and then "realize"

has made the difference.I have now also learnt how to be a better people person and avoid making ‘in your face’ comments.

I have realized the critical importance of crediting to the team for the job well done”.

Enhanced team building and synergy engagement at one of India’s largest Construction, engineering services company

The client is among corporate India’s most respected and largest organizations in the space of construction and engineering

services. They had a long history of growth propelled by a sound strategy, passionate people and robust process. However,

the sense of shared vision was perceived as missing and the management wanted to generate enthusiasm and passion among the

top executives by generating a shared sense of purpose, aligned with the companies overall mission.  ISEC was engaged for a

long term intervention on team building and synergy for the senior managers.Over a series of interactions spread over a

period of 9 months, considerable change was noticed in the management team at all levels and acknowledged by the CEO of the

company. Consequent to this transformational impact, selected managers were given high profile assignments in the group

companies, opening up avenues for personal and professional growth. Among the very positive responses we received on this

engagement here is what the Training and Development Head had to say-   “The path-breaking results obtained at the

organization as a fall-out of the "Synergy & Team Building" exercise conducted are really impressive.

The senior management teams have given a good feed back & have been working as better team players in various cross

functional team activities. Our learning from your interesting and new approach of introspection has added life to our

thinking process.

Achieving success through strategy coaching at a publishing company

The Indian outsourcing arm of a middle-east based online publishing business operating in the oil and gas sector was poised

for fast growth in India. ISEC was invited by this organization to with work their newly appointed General Manager (India

operations) to assist him in realizing his career advancement goals and developing strategies for expanding the business

beyond its existing operations.Following extended interactions with the GM and his team, the performance of the company

showed significant improvement to the extent that it was subsequently acquired by one of UKs largest publishing groups,

turning a healthy profit for its present owners. The General Manager was very satisfied with the outcome of his coaching

engagement. He says -“Though his role was that of an executive coach in the company, KK was also a mentor to me as I tried

to scale up from a middle level manager to a manager empowered to take corporate-level decisions. His ability to quickly

grasp the swings and roundabouts of a corporate dilemma and coach me towards conclusions instead of providing them as his

contribution to the decision ensured that I used my abilities instead of using him as a shortcut “of his association with

 KK and ISEC.
